Multi-Housing News: Bozzuto Group, War Horse Cities, and Solstice Partners have completed work on Anthem House, a 292-unit community in the Locust Point district.

The Bozzuto Group, War Horse Cities, and Solstice Partners have completed work on Anthem House, a multifamily development in the Locust Point district of Baltimore. The $100 million development has 292 studios and one- and two-bedroom apartment units. Previously, 900 East Fort Ave. was an abandoned industrial site. Whitman, Requardt & Associates prepared the site for development, including earthwork analysis, creation of vehicular and pedestrian access, utility infrastructure coordination, streetscaping, and permitting and approvals. Design The Z-shaped design of Anthem House, created by KTGY Architecture + Planning, takes advantage of an unusual parcel that slopes down toward the waterfront. The property’s common amenities include, among other things, two elevated courtyard spaces: a third-floor infinity pool courtyard, and a fourth-floor courtyard creates a park-like space for residents overlooking Locust Point. The residences feature keyless entry, nine-foot ceilings, hardwood-style flooring, quartz countertops, stainless steel Energy Star appliances, and full-sized washers and dryers. Downstairs, Anthem House is home to 20,000 square feet of retail and dining, including Bar Method and a coffee-to-cocktails café Amber. Rents start at $1,795 for a 540-square-foot studio. Not far away, the three development partners are working on Anthem House II, a smaller apartment building with fewer amenities and thus lower rents. Earlier this year, War Horse and Bozzuto started work on Alta 47, a townhouse, also in Locust Point, highlighting Bozzuto’s past focus on townhouses.
