Celebrating Pride Month and More this June in Baltimore

The sun is out, the days are getting longer, and the air is getting warmer. Summer is just around the corner and Baltimore is filled with opportunities to celebrate the beginning of this amazing season. Not only does June mark the beginning of summer, but the beginning of Pride month, a month-long celebration of the LGTBQ+ community which has added so much to the already rich culture of Baltimore. Whether you’re looking to participate in pride-themed events, or simply itching to get your summer on, Baltimore has something for you!

Twilight On the Terrace

Set against the dazzling backdrop of Gertrude’s Restaurant, this premier gala promises a night filled with delicious cuisine, one-of-a-kind cocktails and music that will have you moving all night long. It starts at 7pm on June 14, so be sure to RSVP here.

Pride Parade & Block Party

Everyone loves a good parade, and on June 15, the famous Baltimore Pride Parade will march down Charles Street, providing a joyus celebration for people of all ages.
Pride 5k

The Baltimore Pride 5k is going down on June 16 at 8am, and is welcoming people of all ages and running abilities. A walkable or runnable event, this 5k begins at the Pavilion in Druid Hill Park. Sign up here to reserve your spot!

Fleet Week

Baltimore is famous for its boating culture, and there’s no better way to celebrate it than Fleet Week, an annual event which has an exciting combination of ship tours, festivals, flyovers, and educational activities. This year’s fleet of ships includes Navy and Coast Guard vessels, Army Corp of Engineers vessels, and traditional sailing and working vessels. The ships will arrive on June 12 and stay until June 17, so there are plenty of chances to check out this fun and educational event!

Water Taxi Cruise

This summer, the historic Water Taxi company is excited to host Harbor Cruises, a spacious and comfortable 60-minute cruise around the Baltimore Harbor. It’s a known fact: movies are better outside. Luckily, the American Visionary Art Museum is hosting an outdoor summer movie series including fan favorites such as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Young Frankenstein. Movies play Thursday nights at 8:30pm. 

Volleyball at Baltimore Beach

Beach volleyball is a summer staple just about everywhere, and Baltimore Beach brings it right to your backyard. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, Baltimore Beach has games for you. Join a league with your friends or go to one of the beach’s many “drop in” hours to see what it’s all about!

Catch an Orioles Game

Orioles Stadium at Camden Yards is one of baseball’s best stadiums in the counry. Whether you’re a casual fan, or an Orioles diehard, the eateries in and around the stadium and the vibrant atmosphere of a summer evening game make Camden Yards an unforgettable experience. So take yourself out to the ballgame to join Gunnar Henderson and the rest of the Orioles in a night of summer fun.

Poolside at Anthem House

You don’t need to go far from home to enjoy some relaxation and escape from the June heat.
