Fall in Love with National Coffee Day
Autumn is fast approaching, and with it returns our seasonal cravings for a nice cup of warm coffee to perk us up in the mornings. Something about the flavor pairs perfectly with the sensation of falling leaves and cooler air. It makes perfect sense that National Coffee day would fall during the month that we begin to feel this slight chill.
This year, the day lands on Friday, September 29th, and we have a list of some of our favorite coffee spots in Baltimore for you to check out!
First on the list is Order and Chaos in Federal Hill. Not too far from your home here at Anthem House, this place is the perfect spot to socialize with other patrons while you wait for your cup of morning coffee. Best of all, it’s a part of an advertising agency, giving it a cool, modern and edgy vibe. Be sure to try one of their specialty drinks, like their seasonal Pumpkin Cheesecake Latte.
Ceremony Coffee is another great coffee spot in Federal Hill and other locations throughout Baltimore. Located in the historical Cross Street Market, this is a great place to sit down and relax with a fulfilling cup and some breakfast. Make sure you also check out some of their seasonal drinks, like Saturday Morning Cartoons, or a Black Shakerato.
Moving on to Fells Point is Pitango Bakery Cafe, inspired by Italian bakeries and sandwich shops. The best part? It’s located right on the water, so you can enjoy the beautiful views with a cup of your brew! They offer many classic coffee drinks, such as cafe au lait and cortado.
For more seasonal and handcrafted drinks, head up to Hampden for Artifact Coffee! Check out their expansive list of caffeinated drinks from their brew bar and espresso bar, or if you’re feeling like you need more flavor, from the AC Favorites menu. Some great drinks include the Lavender Latte and the Spiced Vietnamese Cold Brew.
Also in Hampden is Good Neighbor, another great coffee spot. Here, you can get a variety of filtered coffee, like their Japanese style iced coffee and espressos, like their traditional macchiato with caramel. They also serve food—be sure to try their Paneer grilled cheese.
Last but not least in Canton, we have two great coffee spots for you to check out. The first one is Cafe Dear Leon, where you can get a nice cup to-go or grounds for your home. Some of their drinks include their Pumpkin Spiced Latte and their Black Sesame Salted Caramel Latte. If you want to take home a bag of beans, then try their one of a kind Dear Leon blend!
The second spot in Canton is OneDo Coffee, where, along with coffee beans and lattes, you can sit down and enjoy the homey atmosphere. They have recently switched over to their fall flavors, so try some of their pumpkin spice lattes, or any of their maple syrup blends!
Savor National Coffee Day
Whether you prefer to order your coffee ahead of time, or if you like to slow it down and grind the beans yourself, any of these places will fulfill your desires for a delectable morning drink. And if you don’t like coffee, many of these places also offer a great selection of teas and non-caffeinated drinks as well!
We hope that you have a happy autumn here in Baltimore.
