Enjoying National Ice Cream Month in Baltimore
Anthem House residents, did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month? Ice Cream is one of the best treats you can have, and summer is the perfect time to enjoy them, especially in July for national ice cream month! There are many different ice cream flavors to try at various ice cream shops throughout Baltimore.
Federal Hill
In nearby Federal Hill, there are three different ice cream shops to check out, each one with their own unique flavors. The first is Moo Moo Cows, where they sell farm-fresh ice cream, as well as kosher-friendly ice cream! Along with over thirty different flavors, including caramel chocolate truffle.
The Charmery in Cross Street Market makes original handcrafted ice cream, specialty sundaes, and hand-spun milkshakes. Their goal is to spread happiness through ice cream, and they do that by offering seasonal flavors, as well as collaborating with local community figures and artists. Try their roasted strawberry ice cream, made with slow-roasted strawberries!
Located in both Federal Hill and Canton is BMore Licks, a family-owned and operated shop with over one hundred flavors offered. They have gluten-free flavors on their menu and a few vegan flavors daily. One flavor to try is the Dirty Grasshopper, with Oreos and Andes mints topped on chocolate mint ice cream.
Fells Point
Fells Point Creamery is open every day of the week, and they offer ice cream cakes, smoothies, and shakes along with their homemade ice cream. They have unlimited mix-ins for their ice cream and a wide selection of flavors for their ice cream cakes! When getting their ice cream, make sure to get a waffle bowl to carry it in!
Over in Broadway Market is Taharka Brothers Ice Cream, where they serve ice cream and gelato. They offer takeout and delivery, so order a pint of graham ice cream after dinner and get it delivered right to your home! They also offer scoops in sizes from mini to triple, as well as vegan pints.
Brewers Hill
Icy Delights snowball and ice cream stands and stores have been open since 1992, and they have locations all over Baltimore and Harford county. Head over to their stand in Brewers Hill for any of their hand-dipped ice cream flavors, and be sure to try their twisters!
Inner Harbor
If you want to have a cup of coffee along with your ice cream, try ordering at Lucky’s Baltimore, where they serve both Starbucks coffee and several products from local businesses. Their hand-scooped ice cream comes in several classic flavors, but with the option to top them with espresso shots.
Hampden
Baltimore in a Box ice cream serves different ice cream flavors based on the several treats found in our hometown of Baltimore! Along with the classics, they offer unique flavors such as Summer in Charm city, an egg custard with marshmallow ice cream, and Downey Ocean with caramel Fisher’s popcorn ice cream. They also offer local delivery, so why not host an ice cream party with their unique flavors!
