St. Patrick’s Day in Baltimore
Mar 11, 2019
Even if you’re only Irish for the day, St. Paddy’s is a great excuse to don your best green apparel and enjoy some delicious food and spirits with loved ones. If you are looking to get out and celebrate the Patron Saint, there are lots of happenings around town! Best of all, you don’t need the Luck of the Irish to find them! Here is our guide to having the best St. Patrick's Day in Baltimore:
Make sure you fuel up for your day of festivities with a full pre-beer belly! There are plenty of brunch options close to home, so you can save your Lucky Charms for another day. On Saturday morning from 10:30 am to noon, head to Sagamore Spirit for an all-you-can-eat whiskey brunch and a tour of the waterfront distillery. On Sunday, check out the St. Paddy’s Brunch at Checkerspot Brewing Company from 11am-3pm for a beer pairing and “bottoms up bagels”. For another Sunday brunch option, Mother’s Federal Hill Grille will be hosting Beats Brunch starting at 11am, with a selection of bottomless offerings and drink specials. After a hearty brunch, visit Diamondback Brewery to grab a picture for the ‘Gram in their decorated taproom! While you are there, you can try a pint of their special Green Machine IPA. Other beverage offerings are available at Word of Beer. All weekend they will be selling $5 beers, including locally brewed Guinness Blonde drafts, made here in the city at Guinness Open Gate Brewery! If you want to step things up, head over to Delia Foley's for their third annual block party. If you are feeling more adventurous, head “across the pond” for even more events! You can pregame your afternoon plans at Bond Street Social! They are offering a four hour open bar, running from 10am until 2pm, a pot of gold for all the drinks and brunch food you could wish for. The most daring lads and lassies can join in the Baltimore Shamrock Crawl, spanning across more than ten bars! From 1pm-9pm on Saturday, take part in a costume contest, get holiday-themed swag, and get exclusive access to the best bars and drink specials in Fells Point. Tickets are available through the Facebook event page. Prefer to take it one bar at a time? Starting at noon on both Saturday and Sunday, Lee’s Pint and Shell will be hosting a party with alcoholic specials. The Waterfront Hotel is also “going Irish” for the whole weekend! Head over for live performances, a special Irish-inspired menu, and, of course, drink specials. El Bufalo will be hosting events all day Saturday. At 11am, they are hosting a drag show, then bringing the fun outdoors for their annual tent party, featuring DJ sets and bottomless drinks. Reservations are required, so check out the event page for more details. Whether you decide to stay in or take the party outside, we wish you a safe and fun St. Patrick’s Day in Baltimore that helps you live your Anthem!Tags
