Tackling Breast Cancer with Month-long Efforts to Paint the Town Pink! As the long, warm days of summer roll into the crisp days of fall, we at Anthem House have been reveling in the beautiful change of the seasons. More importantly, we are excited to be acknowledging Breast Cancer Awareness Month! We have been hosting various events during the month of October, and will be charging on until Halloween with engaging and fun events to raise awareness and funds to end breast cancer.
On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink!
We kicked off our festivities with deliciously pink cupcakes on October 3 for Mean Girls Day, followed by tasty rosé for residents on October 10 at the Downtown Dog Resort! Taking the time to eat breakfast every morning is key, as it is the most important meal of the day—on October 17, residents can enjoy free breakfast in our Club Room on the 4 th floor hosted by Comcast.Fall into Fitness
On October 24, join us for a wellness event hosted by FX Well! Exercising is both physically and mentally beneficial, so be sure to join us for this fun break in the week to feel good and support breast cancer awareness. Wear pink to the Total Body class at 7 PM and be entered to win a special prize. After class you can cool off with a pink smoothie tasting with FX Well’s Registered Dietician, Sydney Richards.Sweet Treats
Satiate your sweet tooth on Halloween—our Pink Candy Bar will surely be a treat! Come down to pick out some decadent delights and trick-or-treat with us!#PenniesForPink
In addition to all of these events, we have been collecting #PenniesForPink at our Concierge Desk all month long. Residents are encouraged to donate spare change to combat breast cancer and fund The Brem Foundation, a local non-profit with a mission of helping women detect breast cancer early on, when chances for survival are high.#PaintOurTownPink
This year marks our 5th Annual Paint Your Town Pink Campaign, and we’re so excited to be bringing our breast cancer awareness efforts to our residents for the entire month of October. If you are unable to attend any of the events or make it down to our Concierge Desk, but would still like to support our campaign, wear pink on Wednesdays and share photos with the hashtag #PaintOurTownPink! If you would like to contribute to The Brem Foundation, please donate online: https://bozzuto.causecast.com/fundraisers/view/279591aa-f7f0-4191-ca0f- 6d47dce5a2f4 As we live our Anthem as a community, we can come together to make a difference and defeat breast cancer!Tags
