Celebrate National Wine Day this May
While many people might think of the end of May as the beginning of the Summer season, it’s also the month for National Wine Day! May 25th is the day to grab a glass of red or white wine from your local wine store. While you may be tempted to get your usual favorites, nothing says you can’t try out something new at some local businesses!
For this special occasion, we have provided the following list of the best places to get wine in Baltimore!
Wine Bars
Have you tried Baltimore’s wine bars? Our first recommendation is the Chesapeake Wine Company in Canton. This spot is the perfect place to go and have a relaxing night with a glass, or flight, of wine. Be sure to pair it with one of their delectable pizzas.
Over in Fells Point, you’ll find V-No, located right on the water. They serve small dishes to pair with wine, as well as cocktails, such as their V-No Margarita and Bourbon Peach Pie. In addition, V-No offers a wine club which sends rare wines that are curated based on preference. It’s a club perfect for any wine lover!
The Fadensonnen Wine Bar is another great spot to visit for National Wine Day! Head over to Remington to explore their drink menu and daily rotating wine menu. With outdoor seating, a casual environment, and a beer garden, Fadensonnen offers the perfect calming environment to pair with a drink. They even have zero-proof mocktails, such as their sparkling framboise.
The Wine Collective in Hampden is an Urban Winery that’s a great place to visit for those who want a true wine tasting experience! They are Baltimore’s first urban winery, and focus on the quality of all the wine they produce. You can enjoy any wine you wish in their tasting room with some of their small plates. Be sure to try their 2020 Viognier or 2019 Peregrine.
Wine Shops
Baltimore also has some great wine shops for you to check out so you can enjoy your favorite bottle from the comfort of your home at Anthem House.
Bin 604 in Harbor East offers something new to try every week. They offer a case of the month, where you can get a box of the best bargain wine with plans for monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly. Bin 604 also offers wine tastings and binology classes, where you can learn about a wide range of topics relating to wine.
Angels Ate Lemons is a wine shop in Remington where you can shop for anything from ciders to sake to their curated wines! Their shop offers daily wine tastings, and even wine subscriptions, so be sure to stop by and pick up a bottle.
The Wine Source in Hampden is one of the best places to buy wine, beer, and spirits in Baltimore. While you decide on what wine you might want, they offer expert advice to pair with their carefully curated selections. And if there’s a bottle you’ve been looking for that they don’t offer, then they’ll do their best to source it for you.
We hope that you have found the perfect place to get your wine fix for National Wine Day this May 25. Happy sipping!
