Stay Warm this National Soup Month
January brings cold winter weather. But luckily, you can warm up because it’s National Soup Month! We’ve identified the best places for soup in Baltimore, so you can stay warm all month long!
Soup’s On is the place to be for all soup lovers! Head on over to Mt. Vernon to try some of their delectable soups, like French Onion with Gruyere Cheese, Curry Spinach with Sour Cream, and Maryland Crab. Feel free to buy a cup, bowl, or pint of any of their selections, which change daily!
Another great place to visit for some good soup is Atwater’s. Here, they serve soups such as their New Orleans Gumbo with Shrimp and Andouille Sausage and Butternut Bisque with Apples and Ginger. One of their sandwiches would be a great pair for any soup you get.
For seafood lovers, check out Mama’s on the Half Shell in Canton. You can grab a bowl of their Seafood Chowder to enjoy during this cold January. You can also try some Maryland Crab soup, Cream of Crab, or mix them to create a delicious “Half and Half.”
You can also get Cream of Crab soup at the DiPasquale's, with locations in Brewers Hill and Harborview. All their soups are homemade and you can buy each soup in a cup, bowl, or quart. When it comes from a restaurant that’s been around for over a hundred years, the soup is bound to be good!
The Blue Hill Tavern in Canton also offers some delicious soup! They serve a delectable French Onion soup, made with swiss and gruyere cheese, as well as brioche croutons.
There’s also soup for all Mediterranean lovers! The Samos Greek Grill serves Avgolemono Soup, a lemony Greek version of Chicken Noodle Soup, as well as their rotating soup of the day. All of their food is homemade and perfect for a comforting meal.
For a wide selection of ramen, Ramen Utsuke in the Inner Harbor has around 28 different ramen bowls to choose from. You can get Miso Ramen, Wafu Shio, Spicy Tomato Ramen, Tonkotsu, and many more! They also have a wide selection of sushi for you to try.
In Canton, you’ll find IndoViet, where there are also a lot of soup options to choose from. Their pho has three different broth options, and at least eight different options for each broth. They also have other asian noodle soups such as Bo Kho or beef stew, Jampong Ramen, and Laksa.
