Feasting in Baltimore this Thanksgiving
Whether you’re one for celebrating the holidays on the first of November, or if you prefer to keep your festivities simple, one universal part of the holiday season is the savory feast on Thanksgiving Day.
Preparations can be daunting each year, whether you’re cooking or baking, so sometimes it’s nice to have food already prepared for you. We curated a list of Thanksgiving foods for you for the big feast from Baltimore restaurants. And if you just want to get some delicious Thanksgiving food early, then this is also the list for you:
Thanksgiving Sandwiches
If you’ve never had a Thanksgiving sandwich, then you need to get your hands on one asap. Best of all, there’s no need to wait until Thanksgiving Day for this seasonal specialty. Chaps Pit Beef, Region Ale, and Luigi’s Italian Deli all have their own take on the Thanksgiving sandwich:
Located in Armistead Gardens, Chaps Pit Beef piles ham, stuffing, turkey, and sweet cranberry mayo on their sandwich, dubbed the Plymouth. Grab yours before they’re all gobbled up!
If you’re in Canton, then head to Region Ale for one of their drafts and their Gobbler sandwich. This turkey sandwich is also stacked with as much stuffing and turkey as you can crave, along with delicious cranberry mayo.
The take that Luigi’s Italian Deli has on a Thanksgiving sandwich is one worth the year-long wait. Their sandwiches are topped with turkey, fontina, stuffing butter, and finished with a sweet potato spread, for a truly unique and delectable experience.
Tasty Pies
If you’re looking for a delectable pie to buy for dessert, then head over to Canton to pick out a pie from either Pie Time or Dangerously Delicious Pies.
At Pie Time, be sure to check out their maple bourbon pecan pie and their apple almond pie for wonderful and unique flavors this Thanksgiving. And don’t be afraid to try more than one!
The selection of pies at Dangerously Delicious Pies may be daunting at first, but be sure to check out their pumpkin pie, apple crumb pie, and pecan pie. There are also several more fruit pies and even savory pies that you can try after Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving Pre-orders
Cooking every dish for a thanksgiving feast can be a daunting task, especially if it’s taken up by one person. If you feel like lightening the load off of yourself or the chef, then try ordering from one of the following Baltimore restaurants!
Sally O’s has their own pre-order menu for the holiday season! They have a selection of delicious pies to choose from, including their pumpkin pie with brown sugar whip. Orders of their sides can feed up to four people, and include their cornbread stuffing. Ice cream is also available to buy by the pint.
Head over to Little Havana’s Thanksgiving Dinner Package pick up. Right in Federal Hill, Havana’s has different packages for each and every specific Thanksgiving food you would like to order, as well as plenty of extras and vegetarian options.
If you’re looking for someone to prepare the entire meal, or just a few extra sides, then check out Richardson’s Farm up in Baltimore County. Their complete heat & serve menu can serve up to eight people and includes turkey breast, ham, roast beef, and a choice of three sides, a choice in pie, and cornbread or rolls. If you would prefer to not order the entire meal, then check out their sides, including Jewish apple cake and pumpkin rolls.
Dine-in for the Holiday
If your preference for the holiday is to eat out rather than prepare an elaborate meal, we have a list of restaurants not too far from your home at Anthem House for you to try out:
If you want a three-course meal for Thanksgiving, head over to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Everyone will be served a starter, some side with their roasted turkey with stuffing, and two desserts. With the choice to dine-in, you will also be served lagniappe, or leftovers to take home!
Hosted on Thanksgiving day, Capital Grille has the option for patrons to dine-in or pre order their own thanksgiving meal. Some options include brioche stuffing, sam’s mashed potatoes, and cranberry-pear chutney.
Hard Rock Cafe in the Inner Harbor is a world famous establishment, known for their rock and roll memorabilia, and this year, they are hosting a Thanksgiving feast right here in Baltimore. Thanksgiving is the only day they’re serving a meal like this, so be sure to try out their classic home-style stuffing, roasted vegetables, and slow-roasted turkey breast!
The Charleston restaurant’s fine dining Thanksgiving feast over in Harbor East has a wide variety of foods to choose from for their first course, including Colombian aji, andouille sausage soup, and Vermont goat cheese. Their second course includes roasted turkey as one of their course options, and dessert options include a pumpkin mousse cake.
Cindy Lou’s Fish House in Harbor Point is offering their own Thanksgiving feast on the big day. They have several options for sides, including their fairy tale pumpkin bisque. Their main course includes a turkey ballotine and desserts, such as their sweet potato bread pudding, are sure to delight your palate.
